Dhokla is a delectable all-time, all-season snack that goes well with any drink of your choice, it is famous Guajarati vegetarian food. Try this new Guajarati dhokla with the help of this recipe.

The first thing you need to do is to soak the moong dal and leave it overnight. Grind it into a thin paste, add the curd and leave it overnight so it ferments.

When the 24 hours pass, prepare and grease the dish for dhokla. When done, add soda soda-bicarbonate, sugar and beat it untill you get a smooth mixture.

Spreat the batter on the dish you greased before, put it in the microwave on max for about 4-5 minutes. When cooled, cut the dokla in small and even pieces.
Ingredients for dhokla tempering
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 tea mustard seeds
- 1 bunch of fresh coriander leaves (chopped)
- 5-6 green chilies
- 1 teaspoon mango powder
Method for dhokla tempering
Put oil in the dish and heat on high for about one minute. Add mango powder, green chillies and mustard seeds and microwave all of it on high for 2-3 minutes.
After, add the dhokla you previously cut to the oil. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
Finally, add the already cut pieces of dhokla to the oil. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serves great with mint chutney.
