Learn how to prepare 7 Layer Salad by following this recipe.

1 head Iceberg Lettuce

2 cups raw Cauliflower

10 ounce package Cheddar cheese

10 ounce package frozen green peas - thawed

1 pound bacon

1 red Onion - chopped

1 ¼ cups mayonnaise

2 tablespoon white sugar

2/3 cup Parmesan cheese - grated

Prepare your ingredients, chop your onion, grate your Parmesan cheese, thaw your peas, and fry your bacon so it is nice and brown let it cool and crumble it. Don’t use Bacos bacon bits they will only get soggy and lack flavor.

If you want to really show off your 7 Layer Salad Recipe, put it in a large clear bowl so you can see the layers.

Start your layers by putting your torn lettuce pieces in first, then top with red onions, then raw cauliflower, peas, shredded cheddar cheese, now the bacon. I topped mine with some shaved parmesan cheese as well. What can I say I like cheese.

Prepare the dressing by whisking the mayonnaise, sugar and grated Parmesan cheese. Drizzle it over the salad and refrigerate until chilled.

This recipe is sometimes called Overnight Layered Salad and the ingredients can vary based upon personal likes and dislikes. You can use red or yellow peppers or add hard cooked eggs to the top. I like to use ranch dressing on this salad sometimes as well. Yum!
