2In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, almonds, baking soda, and salt. In a separate large mixing bowl, mix together eggs, egg whites, vanilla, and almond extract. Pour egg mixture into flour mixture; mix well.
3Turn mixture onto lightly floured surface; knead 10 times. Shape into a long roll, flattened to 1-inch thickness.
4Place on baking sheet; bake 35 minutes. Remove from oven; cool on a wire rack 10 minutes. Cut into ½-inch diagonal slices; replace onto baking sheet.
5Bake 10 minutes, turn over, and bake another 10 minutes. Remove and cool on a wire rack.
