Candied Almonds

A really easy recipe to prepare Candied Almonds.


1 cup of almonds (with skin)

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of water


Wash the almonds and place them in a bowl with the sugar and water. Stir to mix and let it sit for 24 hours.

When cooking them, place them in a saucepan over flame (it is best to use a copper pot or saucepan).

Stir it every now and then with a wooden spoon. Once the water was consumed a little and the foam has turned whitish, stir it constantly scrubbing the sides of the pot with a spoon until they dry.

Once they are practically dry, it is best to move them away from the flame and finish the process until they become loose.

Turn them over onto a marble top, separate them and allow cooling.

They can be kept for a long time in sealed containers.
