Follow this recipe carefully and prepare the best caramel dumplings you ever had.

Add to favorites:


2 tablespoons of butter.

1 ½ cup of brown sugar.

1 ½ cup of boiling water.

1 ½ cup of flour.

¼ teaspoon of salt.

1 ½ teaspoon of baking powder.

½ cup of sugar.

¼ cup of butter.

2/3 cups of milk.

½ teaspoon of vanilla.

Whipped cream or ice cream, optional.


1Combine 2 tablespoons of butter, the brown sugar and boiling water and allow to come to a boil.

2Sift the dry ingredients and cut in the ¼ cup of butter, then add the milk and vanilla. Mix quickly.

3Drop by teaspoons into the boiling caramel sauce.

4Cover and simmer slowly for 20 minutes. Do not lift the lid during cooking.

5Using a slotted spoon, remove dumplings from the sauce.

6Serve hot with sauce.

7Optionally top with whipped cream or ice cream.
