Chicken Cutlets

Learn how to prepare delicious chicken cutlets by following this simple, step by step recipe.


Boiled, boneless chicken (or canned chicken chunks): 26 oz.

Onion chopped very fine: 1 medium sized

Mint leaves, finely chopped: 2 tsp

Sooji (semolina) or corn four: 1/2 cup.

Cooking oil: to shallow fry.

Green chillies, finely chopped:2

Garlic paste: 1 tsp

Ginger paste: 1 tsp

Eggs: 2

Coriander seeds powder: 1/2 tsp

Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp

Aamchur powder (raw mango powder): 1/4 tsp

Garam masala: 1/2 tbsp.

Salt to taste

Coriander, finely chopped: 1/2 cup

Lemon juice: 2 tsp.


In a large bowl, cut the boiled chicken into small cubes and shred finely.

In another, combine chopped onion, mint leaves, garlic paste, ginger paste, coriander seeds powder (dhaniya), cumin powder, aamchur powder, garam masala, salt as per taste, chopped coriander, minced green chillies and eggs. Beat it thoroughly.

Now add this mix to the shredded chicken and mix well till all the ingredients are blended perfectly.

Take semolina or corn flour in a plate.

Make small balls of the chicken mixture and flatten it or cast it in any other shape.

Meanwhile heat oil in a pan for shallow frying.

Coat the chicken in the semolina well on both sides.

Now shallow fry a few cutlets it till turns golden brown and crisp on both sides.

Drain it on paper towels.

Serve warm with mint Chutney or tomato ketchup.

You can also use it as a sandwich filling.
