Delicious BBQ meatballs. There's no better way to prepare meatballs if you have the time.
2 pounds Lean ground beef
1 1/3 cup Divided ketchup
3 tablespoons Seasoned dry bread crumbs
1 Slightly beaten egg
2 tablespoons Onion flakes, dried
3/4 teaspoon Garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
1 cup Packed brown sugar
1 can (6 ounces) Tomato paste
1/4 cup Reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup Cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoon Hot pepper sauce
1In a bowl combine 1/3 cup ketchup, bread crumbs, ground beef, onion flakes, egg, black pepper and garlic salt.
2Mix gently and shape into desired size meatballs. Place in two shallow roasting pans or jelly roll pans.
3Bake until browned (18 minutes).
4Transfer the meatballs from pans to slow cooker.
5In a second bowl mix in remaining 1 cup of ketchup, tomato paste, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and hot pepper sauce. Pour the mixture over meatballs.
6Cover slow cooker and cook on low four about 4 hours
