Steak Chili

By following this recipe you will learn how to easily prepare steak chilli.

Add to favorites:


4 Pounds Round Steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

4 Garlic Cloves, minced

1/4 Cup Cooking Oil

3 Cups chopped Onion

2 3/4 Cups Water, divided

2 Cups Celery, sliced

3 Cans Diced Tomatoes, undrained, (14 1/2 ounces each)

2 Cans Tomato Sauce, (15 ounces each)

1 Jar Chipotle Salsa, (16 ounces)

3 Tablespoons Chili Powder

2 Teaspoons Ground Cumin

2 Teaspoons Dried Oregano

1 Teaspoon Sea Salt

1 Teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper

1/4 Cup Flour

1/4 Cup Yellow Cornmeal

Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Sour Cream

Sliced Green Onion

Sliced Ripe Olives


1In a dutch oven over medium-high heat, saute the steak and garlic in oil until browned.

2Add the yellow onions.

3Cook and stir for 5 minutes.

4Stir in 2 cups of water and the celery, tomatoes, tomato sauce, salsa, chili power, cumin, oregano salt and pepper.

5Bring to a boil.

6Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours or until tender.

7Combine the flour, cornmeal and remaining water, stir until smooth.

8Bring the chili to a boil.

9Add the flour mixture, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.

10Garnish with cheese, sour cream, onions and olives.
