Beer Battered Fish Recipe

Ingredients

 Olive Oil or cooking oil
 Fish filets
 1 cup of flour
 Salt
 Pepper
 1 egg
1 can or bottle of your favorite beer

Directions

1

In a large bowl, add in some flour, salt, pepper and your egg. Mix it up and slowly add the beer until thin batter is formed. You don’t want it thin enough so that you can easily drop the fish into the batter so that it gets fully covered. You should be able to see the fish through the batter. If it is too thick, it will be too opaque and you won’t be able to see the fish when it is submerged.

2

After that is done, set your stove to medium-high heat and put some olive oil in your pan. This will help get the fish golden brown when it’s cooking. You will only need to leave the fish for about 2-3 minutes per side. Be sure to check the underside after 1.5 minutes just to see the progress. You can judge whether or not it needs more time to cook or not. Flip it when it’s golden brown on the underside. Cook for another 2 minutes or so on the other side.

3

Remove your fish from the pan, dab dry with paper towel and serve.
