Add the oil to a large saucepan, and place it over medium heat.
Add in the onion, and cook until onion appears tender.
Add in the rice, and cook for a few more minutes, until rice appears coated with oil.
Stir well.
When rice begins to brown, add in the chicken broth, and ground pepper.
Lower the heat, and simmer contents for about 20 minutes.
Transfer onto serving dishes.
