Crumb the bread, pour it with milk and leave to soak.
Press the garlic cloves.
Put the minced beef into a deep bowl.
Dice the onions and send to the bowl as well. Beat the egg there, add the soaked bread crumbs, pressed garlic, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Mix it all thoroughly and beat the mincemeat against the bowl walls to make it smooth.
Next, form medium size meatballs (about 2 inches in diameter), place them into deep pre-oiled roasting tin and cover with foil.
Cook the meatballs at 350 ºF (180 ºC) for 40 minutes.
