Apple cider vinegar has long enjoyed a deserved popularity. It’s taken internally for weight loss and to treat certain diseases.
But few know that natural apple cider vinegar is extremely useful for skin beauty. No wonder some cultures have fairy tales featuring “rejuvenating apple” – apple cider vinegar has excellent healing properties. And it is really possible to “rejuvenate” your skin with it – return its beauty, radiance and healthy appearance.
Natural apple vinegar contains valuable minerals, vitamins and organic acids. It improves skin tone, removes dead skin cells, acting as a gentle peeler, restores the natural acidic environment of the skin and, thanks to many antioxidants, smoothes fine wrinkles.
In addition, apple cider vinegar is an excellent antiseptic. In ancient times, wounded soldiers after the battles soaked bandages in apple cider vinegar to prevent infecting wounds.
And women have long used it for skin care.
It is important to know that for cosmetic procedures only all natural apple cider vinegar should be used. When buying vinegar, carefully read the ingredient list – there should be only apple cider vinegar and water, no added sugar or “natural” flavors.
Apple cider vinegar is good for all skin types, especially for fragile skin, it is only a matter of using correct ratios. You have to be especially careful if you have super-sensitive skin.
For oily / greasy skin
This mask helps prevent and treat acne and also reduces the oiliness of the skin, giving it a matte look. Take 4 tbsp. tablespoons of apple cider vinegar at room temperature, cold vinegar can be warmed up just a bit, but don’t boil it. Add 2 teaspoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of oat flakes or oat flour. Thoroughly clean the face, apply the mask and leave for 20-30 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.
For dry / normal skin
This mask nourishes, moisturizes and improves skin tone. Take 1 tbsp. of sour cream, add 1 teaspoon honey, 1 egg yolk, 1 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar. Stir thoroughly and apply on the face. Keep for 15-20 minutes then rinse with warm water.
Rejuvenating mask for all skin types
Grate a cucumber. Add three tablespoons of olive oil and 1 egg yolk. Stir and add 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Apply the resulting mass to a clean face, neck and hands: keep on the face and neck – 30 minutes, and on your hands – for only 10 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.
You will need 1 tbsp. spoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of fine table salt, 1 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar. Mix all ingredients. Massage in a circular motion applying to a clean face. Leave for 2 minutes, and then rinse with warm water.
In undiluted form apple cider vinegar is used to treat skin diseases and used for skin whitening as an effective anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory agent. In diluted form (1:10 for sensitive / dry skin, 1:5 for combination / oily skin) it is an excellent tonic for the face. It is used to wipe the skin once a day, preferably in the morning after washing. You don’t have to clean the skin additionally, because tonic itself has cleaning properties.
For the beauty of the body
Apple cider vinegar is useful for applying on the whole body – especially the areas of cellulite or stretch marks. This gives the skin fresh and smooth look and helps fight cellulite. Vinegar is recommended even for varicose veins.
A bath with apple cider vinegar has a great effect on the skin. Fill the bathtub with water (water temperature – 37-40 degrees) and then pour 250 ml (1 cup) of apple cider vinegar. Take a bath for 15-30 minutes. But first, rinse your hair using this water.
