Vinegar Powder Recipe
There are a few methods of crafting DIY vinegar powder at home:
Dehydrator Method
Mix vinegar and maltodextrin at a 1:1 ratio
Spread mixture thinly onto dehydrator trays
Dehydrate at 95-115°F until completely dried out
Process in a blender or food processor into fine powder
Oven Method
Soak breadcrumbs, cornstarch or flour in vinegar
Spread thinly onto a baking sheet
Bake at 200°F, stirring periodically, until crispy and dry
Grind into powder
Stovetop Reduction Method
Simmer vinegar and baking soda to reduce volume
Continue reducing over low heat, adding more vinegar until thickened
Spread paste onto a baking sheet
Finish drying out in a 200°F oven
Grind into powder
