Homemade Acai Powder Recipe
Make your own smooth, nutrient-dense acai powder right at home with this easy recipe. By dehydrating and grinding high-quality frozen pulp, you get a superfood powder bursting with antioxidants, healthy fats, and fiber. Use in smoothies, bowls, baked goods, and more!
- 2 (16 oz) bags frozen acai pulp
- Parchment paper
- Airtight glass storage jar
Thaw frozen acai pulp completely. Check for and discard any stray seeds.
Line dehydrator trays or baking sheets with parchment paper. Spread pulp in a thin, even 1⁄4-1⁄2 inch layer.
Dehydrate at 125°F to 150°F until brittle and dry to the touch, 6 to 18 hours.
Break dehydrated pulp into pieces and add to blender or food processor. Grind in batches into a fine, flour-like powder.
Transfer acai powder to an airtight glass jar. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year.
Add 2 tbsp powder per 1 cup liquid to make smoothies, smoothie bowls, bake into treats, and more!
