Ground turkey, onion, celery, green pepper, jalapeno pepper, stewed tomatoes, wild rice and chili beans in a seasoned tomato broth.
1 Pound Ground Turkey
1/2 Pound Ground Chuck
Tomato Sauce, (30 ounces)
V-8 Juice, (24 ounces)
1/2 Cup Yellow Onion, chopped
1/2 Cup Celery, chopped
1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
1 Cup Green Pepper, chopped
1 Cup Button Mushrooms, chopped
1 Small Jalapeno Pepper, finely diced
1 (14 ounces) Can Stewed Tomatoes
1/2 Cup Uncooked Wild Rice
2/3 Cup Brown Sugar
Chili Beans, (14 ounces)
1 (1 ounce) Package Chili Seasoning Mix
1Brown the ground beef and ground turkey.
3Place the tomato sauce, V8 juice, onion, celery, chili powder, green pepper, mushrooms, jalapeno, tomatoes, rice, brown sugar, beans and chili seasoning mix in a slow cooker.
4Add the meat.
5Cook on LOW for 6 to 9 hours.
6Serve with crackers or cornbread.
