Chili is one of those really versatile foods that can be personalized by each child (and adult). The great thing about chili is you can sneak all kinds of vegetables into it and the kids usually don't know. Onions and tomatoes are a given because I just can't imagine making chili without them, bell peppers of any color are great; the flavors are usually mild and on the sweet side so the kids don't notice.
1Put the everything except the broccoli into the slow cooker and set on low.
2Cook for 4+ hours.
3Right before you are ready to serve, add the broccoli and give it a good stir.
4Serve immediately with chips, sour cream, cheese, diced tomatoes, diced onions, hot sauce, whatever you happen to like on your chili. You can also pick up some turkey dogs or low fat all beef hot dogs if you like chilidogs.
