Split Pea Vegetable Soup

Learn how to prepare Split Pea Vegetable Soup by following this recipe.

  • Yields: Serve 6 about 1 1/3 cup each.


Potato- 1 lb.

carrots- 2

2 stalks of celery onion- 1/2 sm.

Water -2 qts.

2 c. split of peas,

dried fat- 1 tbsp.

salt- 1 tbsp.

Pepper to suit your taste

head cabbage- 1/2 med.


Piece the potato, carrot, celery, and onion.

Put water to boil.

Add split of peas, fat, salt, pepper and vegetables leaving cabbage.

simmer for 45 minutes.

Shred the cabbage, put cabbage and simmer for 25 minutes long.
